A brief that asked for inspiring, energizing, and impossible to ignore.

Private Office | Glenview, IL

The project needs for this private executive office were specific and personal. The client, a senior executive who spends significant time in this space, wanted art that would inspire and energize her every day. She also needed work that would hold up on screen, reading as professional and distinctive on video calls without feeling like decoration selected for a camera.

That is a more considered ask than it might sound. Art that works for a Zoom background and art that genuinely moves someone are not always the same thing. The goal was to find both in the same work.

Kristin Hart's large-scale nature-inspired photographs were a natural and inspired fit for this project. Hart manipulates layers and color to create images that are recognizable yet entirely her own, saturated and glowing, drawn from the natural world but transformed into something that sits at the edge of the real and the ethereal. Two of her works were selected and placed together, creating a visual anchor for the office with presence, warmth, and visual authority that communicates something real about the person behind the desk.

This project is a reminder that art advisory at its most useful is not about filling walls. It is about understanding how a person lives and works in a space, and finding art that serves both.
